How soon after giving birth can i take birth control pills?
Alright so I'm due in march and giving birth in a different state because my baby is going for adoption.
I will be out of state for a month plus, so I would like to have the option of secksing my boyfriend as soon as I get back home.... Therefore, I would like to start re-taking my birth control prescription after I pop the kid out.
Can I do that? Just start taking the pill again right away? Or would I have to wait, and if so, how long?
Thanks in advance(: <3

you are able to take the pill straight away but bare in mind you are going to bleed for 6weeks after the birth of your baby might be best to talk to your doctor or midwife about this. but midwives usually talk to you about protection after the birth anyways

yes you can usually the doctor will ask if you want to go on birth control after you have the child...but if you ended up getting pregnant while you were on the pill you should think about getting something else....i never liked the pill cuz i cant ever remember to take them. so i went on the IUD which i do not suggest because for some it HURTS at some points like if your bladder is full or during intercourse...i switched to implanon. best desion i made! a rod that just gets inserted at the first layer of skin...doesnt hurt depending on the person...some say it hurts for a week or 2 right after making a huge bruse...for me definitly not...didnt get a bruse and wasnt sore...and it works for 3 years!! I dont ever get a period (which is nice and saves money) Really think about it!!! It's easier on you just reember getting it changed every 3 years until you want a child of your own!!
