LCD flat screen stays blank on power up. What's wrong with it?

I have a 42" LG LCD that's about 4 years old now. Every now and then, when I turn it on the screen stays completely blank. I can hear sound, but the screen never comes on. I'll turn it off and on a few times then eventually it will work normally.

It's had this problem for years but it seems to be getting more frequent. Any ideas what it could be?

    Usually bad 3300uf caps in the power supply. If you replace them use 25 volt capacitors not 10 volt. If you give a model I can be more specific.
