what company's are the best for getting stocks online?
i want to start getting stocks and i have a company sending alerts to me suggesting what to get. it is risky but i got to start somewhere. what i need to know is what online companies are best for buying and selling stocks? i see a bunch of them but i just don't want to sign up with anyone until i can get information. this is a good place to start getting that information. thanks

I use Buy and Hold.com. They are cut rate, $2.99 a trade, but offer no investing advice. I also like that you can set-up regular buys, each month, week, year, of whichever securities you choose. That makes dollar cost averaging a breeze.
