why can't I get transliterated arabic instruction textbooks?
you can get beginners' texts in most other languages with a one-to-one transliteration from the target language but not seemingly with arabic - i know that arabic writing is very hard but we can't learn to read without seeing the missing short vowel characters represented in the translit.

Because when you want to learn a new language you have to forget about your original language.
