Can you turn off Boss tuner pedal, other than unplugging it?

Boss TU-3 tuner pedal. I've killed two batteries by leaving it plugged in. I don't have a DC adapter and the reason I bought it was so I wouldn't have to connect/disconnect the guitar just to tune it. Pick it up and go.

It's predecessor the TU-2 used to have a footswitchable "Tuner Off" mode preserving battery life by disabling LED's, not sure if the TU-3 has the same feature as it takes more current (85mA as opposed to 55mA) for the LEDs. Suggest you get an AC adapter or get used to plugging it in/out. If you get the right Boss AC adapter and a Boss PCS-20A daisy chain, the TU-3 will also supply a total of 200mA to up to seven other BOSS pedals.
