I have a 1977 F100.

Recently, out of the blue, I had a short/drain start. I didn't do anything mechanically to the car. It was driving fine, but suddenly it started dying after sitting overnight.

In this period that the problem started, I noticed that the neutral safety switch wasn't working as great, having to move the shifter back and forth and one headlight is dimmer.

When I check across the battery leads, resistance is zero. When I test the amperage, the meter reads over the limit and then slowly comes down to 30 mA. A small spark can be seen when you reconnect the battery terminal.

I pulled all the fuses, one-by-one, and none of them showed to be the cause of the drain. When I disconnect the dim headlight, I still get a drain. Only thing I can think of is maybe the ignition coil? I also replaced the ignition control module, because I suspected that, it was easy, and it had been replaced 10+ years ago.

My next idea is to get a new multimeter and pull the fuses again.

Any ideas?

I have an old 1977 Ford F100 w/ a 302 (5.0). It doesn't have to have the emissions checked and be safety inspected anymore. I'd like to take all the emissions stuff off and go with a simpler setup that's easier to maintain. What can I take off? Can I take all the emissions stuff off?

Boss TU-3 tuner pedal. I've killed two batteries by leaving it plugged in. I don't have a DC adapter and the reason I bought it was so I wouldn't have to connect/disconnect the guitar just to tune it. Pick it up and go.

Isn't having to take a drug tests undermining your right to keep you medical history private? If you're taking a controlled drug you would have to provide a prescription or at least say you're taking the medication if it shows up in a drug test.

I went to a Wal-Mart in Durham, NC and wanted to buy some steak knives. Two associates looked all over for kitchen knives and couldn't find them. We then bumped into a third who said they didn't carry them.

I cancelled my COBRA at the end of November becauase the COBRA reduction was going out of effect, but now they've extended the reduction to 15 months after you get COBRA on Dec.19. Can I reinstate my COBRA (with the reduction)?

A cop can lie to a suspect when interrogating, but can a person acting as law enforcement, attempting to buy alcohol underage, lie to a store clerk? Acting as part of a bust. i.e. the under age person is sent into the store by the cops and the clerk asks if they're 21 and the underage persons says yes, but doesn't show any ID and the clerk sells it to them. Can the underage person lie when they are acting as part of law enforcement?

They dug a hole, put in piping, sheeting, then sand, gravel and dirt. We thought it was some kind of water reclamation but it's uphill of anything.

In this neighborhood we always get mold, green buildup, on the North side of the houses. I saw on an episode of This Old House they placed a metal strip on a roof to prevent moss buildup. Would this work on vinyl siding?

I consistently get bad Pecan Sandies from Wal-Mart whereas if I buy them from any other store they're just fine. I've noticed this over the years.

I steamed crab last night from frozen and the texture was not that great. The pieces would come all apart and it was difficult to remove. The king crab legs were from frozen. I tried cooking it different ways 10, 15, 20 minutes from frozen. Thawing in water, and then cooking. Thawing on the counter and cooking but it didn't seem to help the texture. Any tips to remedy this?

I had problems with Jonas crab claws like this before, but I think Jonas crab just sucks all around. That's why you never heard of it.

About three months ago I had severe migraines for two or three days. After that I can't get a buzz from alcohol, nicotine, coffee or working out. I used to get excited about doing new things. I get none of that anymore. It's as if all the endorphins in my body or gone or I'm having some kind of mid-life crisis. But I'm only 32. I've experience depression before but this is like its something by body's doing.

Anyone else experienced this?
