Does anyone have a 2004 Jeep Liberty with 80,000Kms or 50,000Miles or around there that ticks?

My mom has one and its got around 80K kms or 50k Miles and it ticks on acceleration. Does anyone else have this problem? This seems wayyy too soon for this (does she have a lemon?)

She has never driven this vehicle hard, or raced it (it has always been 1/4 throttle or less, minus VERY VERY few occasions)

She babies it, basically.

What could be wrong? Too much engine gunk?

    Probably just loud injectors...some cars just sound that way.
