stupid stupid xbox 360 kinnect?
why do all the tv adverts and pictures on the box show happy faces playing with it 2 foot away from their tv .........when unless im across the road in number 57s house the bl00dy thing doesnt work cause it says im too close?
to the smart AR5E who says i dont read manuals were you actually anywhere near my house when i set the thing up how do you know what i do and dont do
the manuals 3 small pages of drawings i followed what it had to say i set it up at first to the bare minimum stated since then weve moved further and further back and still it says TOO CLOSE my point is look at the box the people are practically standing on the fcking thing yet it tells you youve got to be at least 1.8 meters away (for the 1 player option and further for multi player)

Try using the Kinect tuner option to let the sensors adjust to the room, also ensure that no one else is moving around at the edges of the sensors field of view. You may also have problems if you have lots of glass or reflective surfaces around the room or if there are lots of colours and shapes in the background.
P.S Valium works really well for the after effects of Kinect rage.

My sister actually just got one for Christmas and we love it. We actually haven't Had any problems with it, so I suggest you open the Kinect Tuner from the guide and that will let the camera adjust to the room around you, and when it does this, you should try to stand 6-8 feet away so that it can see the space AROUND you and be able to tell how much room you have.

I could ask the same thing about fast food commercials.. why does it always look so tasty, but when I order it. it always looks like crap?
Here's a life lesson: Don't trust commercials. Buying a Kinect or eating fast food because you saw a commercial and believed what they were showing you is being kind of ignorant...
