confused about braxton hicks?

I had cramping and braxton hicks a lot for about 4 weeks before i actually went into labor. braxton hicks are just your body preparing for labor. its normal to have them, and to have a lot of period like cramping. i was always cramping so much in the 3rd trimester. its not actual labor if the pains go away after an hour or so of resting. and actual labor will start coming consistently in a pattern, every five minutes apart or less, where you can time them. they won't go away and they will keep getting stronger. just keep an eye on the pain. but don't stress. cramping is very normal during pregnancy.

I've had Braxton Hicks since my 29th week, and I'm currently waiting for my boy to make his debut at 39 weeks 2 days. Some women have BH for weeks and weeks before labor, like me (and my mom). In fact, all women have them, but not all women are aware of them or can feel them.

Mine have become more intense over the past week, but not more regular. So we'll see when this boy actually comes out. Menstrual like cramps can also signify the start of labor, but not always.

If the come to be extra common and extra excessive then it's hard work, I had pains like that for hoursssssss earlier than they grew to be excessive however they weren't braxton hicks they have been the truly deal, I might maintain a watch on them, well good fortune and congratulations :)
