11 week old not lifting head?
My daughter will be 11 weeks old tommarow. I give her plenty of tummy time (which she doesn't mind) but she doesnt lift her head up. She will lift it up while i am holding her or if she is laying on our chests, but not on the floor. She will just turn her head to the side and chew her fists. She is in the 75th percentile for everything (including her head circumference) so i thought maybe her head is too heavy to lift now? Also she is a VERY content baby....very quiet and doesn't hardly ever cry...i thought maybe she was just content to lay on her belly without lifting it....My older daughter could lift hers better at this age...do you think this is okay?!?

I wouldn't sweat too much. Babies are snow flakes each very different. Although its hard try not to compare your children's development. Who knows she may be the next Einstein he didn't talk till he was five! I would talk with your pedi. at the next appointment anyway though. Try rolling up a pillow under her chest so her arms are over it. Her neck will be awkward if her head droops so she might try to lift it. Also I read to carry them on there tummies while holding them rather than belly up.

Yes! Everything is OK! Just like potty training, they will do it when their good and ready! If you are still concerned contact your pediatrician and ask a nurse! Best of luck!
