How do you stop being afraid?

of life, people, phobias, or failures? How would cure yourself from being afraid?

and yes I do realize a closer relationship with god can be an answer? I'm looking for something different.

    try and do something that you wouldn't normally do everyday ,, start with something small if your afraid of that and then maybe work up to more daring things that way you allow yourself to gradually be unafraid of most things :) ,, i find this works :D

    Fear is nothing more than a chemical reaction in your body in response to what is going on in your mind.

    You might lack self-confidence which will make you uneasy in many different situations, so start with working on that.

    The thing to remember is that everyone gets afraid, especially of things that are new to us. The successful people feel their fear and do the task anyway.

    by technique of looking what you're frightened of and residing it... frightened of heights, circulate skydiving, frightened of being rejected, ask somebody out..frightened of somebody announcing some thing recommend to you, be your self thoroughly un self consciously, and in the event that they make exciting of you, face up to them....all of those issues are lots much less stressful mentioned than completed of course, yet its the only way you will comprehend that its not as undesirable as you think of it rather is, its the only thank you to now not be afraid... its like once you have been a new child and you theory there have been monsters on your closet, the only way I ever have been given over it is by technique of beginning off the closet and seeing for myself that not something replace into there and the terror replace into merely in my head...

    By accepting your flaws and working it out in your head and diagram your fears. The fun of life is accepting your fears and working them out!
