Do find this as a trend re: engagments?
It is very expensive to buy a diamond engagement ring nowadays, I have noticed a lot of stores like Walmart, Target, Kohl's to name a few sell CZ that are so beautiful in various silver, white gold and yellow gold settings like 10K 14K etc.
Do you find that more people are buying cubic zircons or imitation diamonds? What are the benefits besides the price of owning one?

We bought our ring online and the diamonds are very poor quality and I'm pretty sure one stone is a cubic zircon, but we expected that because we didn't want to spend thousands for a diamond one that looks the same from 5 feet away.
We also wanted to put our focus into things that mattered more such as saving for having kids.
