Was Eli blind in Book of Eli?

    No Eli was not blind. He memorized the book (Bible) that was written in Braille. Claudia (Jennifer Beals) who was Solara's (Mila Kunis) mother was blind. At the end of the movie Carnegie (Gary Oldman) told Claudia to tell him what the book said because she knew braille, but she said she forgot how.
