where is a good place to buy over the counter reading glasses?
I've tried CVS, Duane Reade, etc. I'm looking for a better selection. I want to try them on, so I'm not interested in online stores. This would be in the NY metro area.

I don't know who has the lowest price on prescription glasses since my insurance pays for mine. About your strength not being common, mine must not be. Once I was farsighted, no problem seeing far off or reading with the same pair. Now I'm nearsighted, I can have a pair made for seeing far off, or seeing close up (for reading, ect.), and can't get bofocals. Don't know why. I hate the idea of switching back & forth. Have you tried looking in Wal-Mart ? Someone could have the approximate strength you need. Hope this helps.
