Wouldn't you be tempted to know it all?

I had a dream last night and I was with an extraterretrial being. It gave me the chance (in my dream) to know everything. How did we get here, what happens after we die, how did everything start, if it even did, etc.

In my dream I turned all the knowledge down. When I woke up, I was mad that I didnt ask for it, even if it was just to find out what I would think it was. Then I thought, if I knew the truth about everything, then life would be dull. I wouldn't want to know everything.

Just curious, if you had the chance to learn the truth about everything right now, whatever religion you have, I'm sure you have many questions. Would you want it? All or nothing? Would you tell anyone else? Do you think it would be good to have it, or not?

In a way, I would like the chance to know everything. However, knowing everything would just take the wonder and curiosity out of everything. You would never be able to look at the world in awe again. Some may consider the knowledge a blessing, but others may see it as a curse. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

But you'd live a sad existence because you couldn't tell others and show them. Also, you'd know what to expect and if it was bad...well, you'd go insane. Not to mention you'd go insane from that knowledge anyways

I'd like the answer, but I can see why some would say no.
