my jade plant is dying?
hi. i have a mini jade plant that was outside in a pot all summer. i brought it in for the winter and it's been in my window with my other houseplants. but now it's leaves are falling off and the stems are breaking. what can i do? i water it once a week -- soil is not too moist and i dont think it dries out... i put it in fresh potting soil a few weeks before bringing it inside. any suggestions?
quit watering it. check
thanks!

Being a succulent, jade's do not need to be watered that much. I water mine once every two weeks and its growing like a monster. Anyways take those few leaves that are falling off and stick the ends that were attached to the plant, into the soil. They'll re root themselves that way you have a backup in case anything happens to your jade( it doesn't make it) Haha anyways hope that helps! :)

Once a week might be too much. i water mine about once a month. How much you do depends on how big the pot is, the soil type, and the temperatures in your house...but Jade definitely likes to dry out in between waterings. If the soil is always a little bit moist, I'd say that's the trouble.

We have been having a Jade plant over 22 years. It is a monster. You must let the soil dry before giving it water. I water ours every two to four weeks and then not too much. Good luck with it.

You are watering it too much. It is much like a cactus and likes to dry out between waterings. I have a jade plant in my bathroom, and I probably water it once every month or two and it is doing fine. If you have watered your plant too much, it may have root rot, and can die. Make sure the potting soil you use is the kind for a cactus.
