how should i get my own manga published?

ok, ive just began starting my own manga and whats id like to know before i get more involved with it, is if i have a chance of it ever getting published? I live in america, so far have only memorized six hiragana characters(im still learning, it takes me a while, and im really dreading having to learn kanji -.-), im white, female, and speak very little japanese. Oh and im sixteen. So, lets say i made 200 pages and my first manga is all done and ready, who would i send the pages to? Are thier any online manga publishing companies(hopefully american or english speaking since its gonna take me a while to learn japanese). Or should i make my own website, post the pages up thier and wait for it to gain more popularity and wait for the manga publishing companies to contact me(like in the case of the Hetalia Axis Powers manga)? Do i have any chance of ever becoming a manga-ka?

You should watch Bakuman. It is airing right now and is about two guys about your age trying to get there manga published. It is really good. I would have to see some pages but you probably would never be able to be published in an Asian country. In America only comics are published and any anime company would only license foreign material.

I'm sorry, but I don't think it is feasible. However, show me some drawing, I can tell you if it is good. Also watch Bakuman, you really learn that it is harder than it looks.

Your best shot would be trying to get a deal with a smaller American publisher. In order to rise up to the professional level you will probably have to gain some notoriety first. From what I know it doesn't seem like an American would do too well in Japan. This is doubly true if you are just starting out.

That is why you should try to get in touch with some small publishers, or maybe even post a one-shot on a web site to see what the feedback is. There are some publishers that give newcomers a chance to show their skills.

I do not want to say it's impossible to get a manga deal in Japan, but it will not be easy. Keep working at it. If you truly want it, it will happen. You just have to have the motivation and of course the skills!
