If a conviction is vacated are you still required to admit being convicted of said crime? ?

    Typically, no - if a conviction is expunged or vacated, it usually means it's off your record. You should try to run a criminal record check on yourself to confirm this.

    However, you should be aware that sometimes an application (or whatever) will specify that you must admit to convictions even if they have been vacated or expunged. In these cases - such as state bar licensing applications - it's much better to tell the truth than to lie. A lie is usually worse than the underlying offense.

    It's also true that you should distinguish between arrests and convictions. Read the question carefully.
