What are the ideal ages to get my baby circumcised and Uvula cut?

My son is 51/2 months old. i was wondering from his age, when is the best time / age to get him circumcised (am thinking when he gets to 6months because he'll have to be put under amnesia). I also want to know the age i should take him to the doc to get his uvula ( the little piece of skin hanging down the throat, that touches the tongue as you get older) cut. mine was cut when i was 16yrs old cuz i was having trouble with tonsils, i could swallow all the time and breathing was uncomfortable. when i was cut it was so painful and took time to heal.

I had my son circumcised the day before we came home from the hospital so he was 3 days old. I've never known anyone that had their uvula cut.

If you did not have him circumcised while he was once simply born, then you should not circumcise him except there is a compelling clinical rationale. Actual clinical explanations for circumcision are infrequent. Usually, little one boys are circumcised simply seeing that it is events or, in a few circumstances, for devout explanations. In the ones circumstances, it is performed while the little one is simply days historical. Judaism requires ritual circumcision at 8 days, and hospitals as a rule do it even quicker than that. You wouldn't have his uvula reduce, both. From your description of your possess operation, what you had was once a tonsilectomy. That's most effective performed if the tonsils are seriously or chronically inflamed. Though it was once as soon as a events youth operation, the clinical subject is now in opposition to tonsilectomy except there is a forged rationale for it. Healthy tonsils should not be eliminated.

Are you actually being serious? Or is this just some crazy troll question? I certainly hope that it is.

If you are having problems with tonsilitis you have your tonsils removed. Which is actually not that big of a procedure anymore. Any how you don't just cut your child up for no reason, or to prevent something that most likely will NEVER happen. The only time he should evr go through a medical procedure is when it's needed. Yeah surgery sucks but you suck it up and get over it. I had a hernia surgery at 13... takes a couple weeks to recover fully but I'm not going to have my child cut open and have his abdomen wall laced with cheesecloth to prevent him from getting a hernia. Have some common sense.

It's his body, so any surgery he has on it is HIS decision, not yours. There is never a good time to mutilate and cut up your child without his permission or a serious medical reason.

like I said I hope this is just a fake question.

I agree with the answers below. If you wanted your son circumcised you should have had it done when he was newborn. I personally doubt the wisdom of doing it at all given that the foreskin is nature's way of protecting the penis. But each to his own. As for the uvula - no doctor will do this unless there is a good medical reason to do so. It's not like having your ears pierced! :-)

My parents just used a good old pair of rusty scissors to circumcise me when I was 12, and I turned out just fine

My son was circumcised the day after he was born. You should've done it then. It was so painful for him. Get ready for lots of crying!

I really don't think there is an ideal age, circumcision is un necessary really.

As for the uvula, only have it removed if it is bothering him.

If it aint broke, don't fix it.
