Thoughts on the boy's name Jennings?

I met a guy today who had the first name Jennings. I thought it was quite interesting, having never heard someone called that as their name, and am just curious to see what others think of it.

Thanks!

I it seems good in concept but honestly it just sounds too awkward to me. "Jennings" sounds like a last name, not a first name. Also, it sounds kind of plural, like I just saw the Jennings. I can't imagine greeting a friend, "Hi Jennings!" nor can I think of any good male nicknames for it.

My bestfriend & her guy were actually thinking about the name Jennings. It was probably used after the country singer Waylon Jennings! :) I love it! But I prefer names that aren't usually used by most! I adore the name Jagger too! Ryder! Halen! Sawyer!

One of my friends named her son Jennings---he is now 1 1/2 and super cute.

I think its a good name and definitely different!

That's a last name. A boy should only be named that if its a family name.

i think its a good name, but i know a guy named Jennings, kids would tease him and call him "jenny" when he was little, so he never liked his name much

My son's name is Jennings. He was named after his great grandfather (born 1910). The great grandfather was named after a man born in 1840. The name was not that uncommon until about 1920. People tell us all the time that they really like the name. His friends call him Jenns at times.
