How do you usually spell the words "a lot"?
I have seen so many people spelling "a lot" as one word. It drives me crazy.

Oh my Gosh! I just HATE it when people spell it as "alot", especially when they are native speakers of English. Another one is "a bit"

I spell it the way it's supposed to be spelt - a lot
When I see 'alot', I wonder if people are being lazy or if they simply and truly believe that 'alot' is the way it's spelt. And then I wonder why their teachers don't correct them.

Yes, you spell it "a lot". "Alot" is a non-standardized spelling of it and is town in India :)
