Should I buy new cranks?
I have a set of Fit Flows on my WTP 24" cruiser. Lately I've been looking at Profile cranks and thinking of changing.
I've never had a problem with my Fit's. They are 48 spline, sealed mid BB, 175 length - but I keep hearing that profiles are better even though they look almost identical and they take the same spindle and BB.
Is it worth the price to change?

I would say definitely not. One of the last things I would think about upgrading are my crank arms. The only reason would be because I wanted a different length. What would make them better anyway? Weight? I don’t think you would notice any difference so there is no reason to upgrade.
I mean there are many upgrades one can make to his/her ride. I personally usually don’t upgrade much if it works fine. I’d rather spend my time and money working on the engine of the bike (i.e. me). Get a new jersey or shorts. Get a brighter headlight, or a trunk bag or lock or new gloves. Many things you can do with the $.
Sounds to me like a useless and wasteful investment to upgrade cranks. I average about 21mph cruising comfortably on the flats and can crank it up a few MPH’s when I burst. Not much changes in speed when I am on my Fuji commuter road bike from 1985 at about 27 pounds (with trunk bag and accessories) or my newer 19 pound weekend ride (unless I’m climbing). So believe me, changing the cranks out won’t do much for your ride. For a real performance booster, look to your wheels and tires or better yet, the engine.
Best of luck.

no longer everyday w the motorbike yet you're probable SOL. something which will cope with any severe abuse could use and outboard bearing backside bracket besides the undeniable fact that possible locate some good octalink/isis and sq. taper cranks. Your's probable is a loose ball bearing variety, meaning you will never locate something extra constructive than what you in basic terms broke.

probably not. What is supposed to make the profiles better? Are they lighter? Stronger? sexier? color matches your sneakers? You need to figure out what is important to you and then decide if they are better for you.
