zodiac sign im a virgo now wtf?

I just want to say I'm extremely offended by the recent yahoo post about astrology signs changing. According to these bogus astronomers orphiucus is this new constellation that along with precession is throwing off people's sun signs by about a month. So, if your a Libra your now a Virgo. I did some research on this and Orphiucus only has four stars that pass over earth's orbit. In order for a constellation to be considered part of the zodiac all of its stars have to pass over earth's orbit for a certain period. Therefore, this whole 13 zodiac sign stuff is ridiculous. The whole precession thing says earth's polar alignment changed so the signs have shifted. However, the usual zodiac signs can still be seen overhead in there respective seasons. In fact, only sidereal astrology bases sun signs on polar alignment, and every one today uses what is referred to as western astrology.

So relax, you're still a Libra!

You have 2 signs. One, which is a Scorpio. This is under the tropical system. One, which is a Virgo. This is under the sidereal system. Both have been around for ages. The tropical system has been more well known in western culture. Only now, someone has pointed out the other system. Nothing is different. You are now simply aware of an alternative zodiac system. Be proud of your 2 signs! I am a tropical Scorpio and a sidereal libran! And a monkey... If we go into Chinese signs!

I'm a true virgo (born in the original sign) and I'm nothing like it describe. Read some of the articles on line about these "changes". According to one on Yahoo, your sign may have changed in the Eastern version (which follows the stars, not the sun). The true zodiac follows the sun and in that case your sign hasn't changed.

YOU ARE STILL A LIBRA. Unless you have suddenly converted to sidereal astrology, which I highly doubt. Western Astrology still uses the 12 sign system, so you don't need to worry. Get your tattoo!

Honestly I would suggest ignoring horoscopes all together. They are general statements made that could fit nearly any person that reads.

The new signs are for those born from 2009-1982309190. So you are still libra. And besides, the stars don't define you. ;)

I feel the same as you! They changed me to an Aquarius...I was a Pisces. I am through and through a Pisces. I guess at least I'm still a water sign, but geeze!
