Can anyone help me with some business advice?

I have been vegetarian for around 7 years and I am sick of the over priced supermarket rubbish and high fat foods etc. My absolute dream is to open my own veggie deli/cafe. Ive enrolled in a cooking course and I already have hygiene certificates but im a little low on business experience and not sure where to start. Can anyone help?

Clairey, Why don't you try contacting the SBA, That's the federal Small Business Administration. They may be a great source of help for you.

How I wish I could help you.

I am fed up with this veggie food being so high in fat also.

I'm not a vegan, but like healthy foods.

    Keep your dream alive.

See if there are any current places like what you have in mind and see if you can work at any of them to gain experience in running a business.

My area has no such thing - people here love the high fat/lard restaurants for some reason....

Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE counselor. They will guide you through the process.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 350 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 13,000 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.
