How to get a natural tan?

I am about as white as they come. I'm talkin' piece of paper here. I have never been able to tan, I just turn red, peel, and then go back to white. Is there any natural/non medicated way that I could aid my skin in turning brown, and not red?

A nice tan is certainly attractive, no doubt; despite the fact that for some there are real dangers with excessive sun exposure. If you want to maintain a tan by going to a parlor you'll be paying quite a bit for it, too. Self tanning products greatly simplify the overall process as well as reduce the health hazards of traditional tanning. What we'd now like to do is discuss some worthwhile information about self sun tanning, and we hope they'll make your experience much better and satisfying.

Depending on the self sun tanning product or process you've used, it will take some time to dry. You'll find that some of these products will need hours to dry, and others are extremely fast, like in minutes. But what's cool is that you can get that information from the label when you're shopping. If you've been using a self tanning solution, then don't assume they all dry in the same amount of time. We offer this so you don't make the mistake of thinking it's dry and then do something to interfere with it.

If you don't let it dry all the way, there is the chance your skin could turn out something truly funky and embarrassing. That's why it's essential to use self sun tanning products properly.

Always try applications to a small part of your body for any product you've never used, previously. We suggest a small test because there are times when people learn they have a reaction to different products. You will never know 100% how any product will tan your skin type until you try it. That is exactly why you really should do a small test, first, before applying all over your body. Of course the best place to do this is somewhere that isn't easily noticed. In perhaps most situations, there's nothing to be concerned about; however we still feel it wouldn't hurt to test. But if you do the test, then you'll know for sure not only about possible irritation, but also to see how the tan looks on you.

No matter what, though, on any self tanning product you consider using, we think it's a good idea to see what's on the label. This is just in case you have any allergies, that you're aware of, that's all. It's important to use these products correctly, because otherwise you could end up with bright orange skin! When in doubt, apply the product cautiously, as you can always use more later. If you put too much on, then you could be stuck for a little while. You never know, some of these products could have some kinds of side effects, so you'll want to look for that too. Some people are just more sensitive to chemicals than others, so it's prudent to be on the look out for any side effects.

There are many benefits to self sun tanning, not to mention it's safer and looks good. You may want to experiment with several of these products only to find out which one you like the best. Your skin is unique, so you have to find the product that gives you the kind of tan you want.

So, we do hope this answer and these tips will help you as you begin looking for a great self tanning product.
