What is the problem, and fix, with my low fluid indicator light staying on?

I have a 90 Buick Regal with a 3.1 engine and the "low fluid" light on the dash is on. After running for a good amount of time it does go off but periodically it does come back on. I replaced the thermostat and the antifreeze is filled, reservoir and radiator. It is causing me to worry. What could it be?

well you've filled the necessary fluids but have you checked your windshield washer fluid??

a few cars come equipped with a low washer fluid light and maybe yours does, my car does

probably the sensor that runs the light is bad.
