What percentage of the billions of religiously devout are aware that there have been hundreds of Gods before?

Jesus and Allah are popular today. Does the religious community realize that hundreds of Gods have came and went in the histroy of mankind? Does anyone worship Zeus anymore? Do these people realize that they are caught up in the flavor of the millenia?

A high percentage (at least 80%) are likely aware of the believe in different Gods before, but few really see the point being made. Once you commit, you are locked in, and the logical brain process is thwarted in the current generation. I like to question, learn and think, others like to blindly accept. Go figure, but whatever works for the individual.

I don't think anyone had done a survey on how many devout are aware of other gods. Why not? Because such a survey would be really dangerous. Even the last census (a few govt workers killed, a few attacked) has nothing on THAT kind of survey.

Christians and muslims believe their case is stronger against the other faiths with many different gods because they believe in the one God. Even though their Opus Magna wasnt written by this one God, and really the idea of a one God was brought about to create peace between rivel devotes. The idea of a religion is to maintain people like cattle under rules (dogma), and under the monotheistic faiths, the justification for this is God. Its a revolving door.

Its funny because Apostle Paul preached to the Greeks about all those Gods they worshiped and he converted a whole lot of them to worship Jesus. These are people that worshiped all those Gods you are talking about. If you knew anything about Israel you would know God was mad at them for bringing those false Gods into their country.

Yes people still worship Zeus. It died out, but people who didn't know what they were doing revived it. Long story.

Anyway, everyone is aware of this.

Roughly the number of those with at least one year of post-secondary education. Same as the general population. They, in general, do not view human history as the Baskin Robbins of deities.

You mean like Osiris, Horus, Mithras, Attis, Zeus, Jupiter?

Well gee, no. I never knew that.

I agree that mankind has invented 100's of gods.

But there is only one God that is of any importance and that is the God of the Bible.

I will offer only one of many proofs that He exists and request that you consider what I write and quote.

The Nation of Israel as God’s witnesses.

God told the nation of Israel over 3400 years ago that is that disobeyed his commandments they would be scattered throughout the world

    Leviticus 26:33 KJV

33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

    Deuteronomy 32:26-27 KJV

26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

But God also promised that he would not abandon them as a nation (verse 3 and 4 below)

    Deuteronomy 30:3-5 KJV

3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

The Nation of Israel the Bible record tells us was scatter and gathered several times until 70AD when the Romans drove out of the land.

However God kept His promises and in 1948 the nation of Israel was re-established.

Since then the Arab nations have several times tried, unsuccessfully, to destroy the nation of Israel.

This is proof that there is only one God of any importance and that He is still dealing in the affairs of mankind. His plan is that Jesus should return to the earth and establish His Kingdom and the nations of the earth will fulfil this word picture of a peaceful existence.

    Isaiah 2:3-4 KJV

3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Isaiah chapter 11 provides another word picture of what the world will be like. Those that study the Bible will recognise that it is Jesus that is referred to in verse 1.

I request that you read this chapter.

Yet again there is a reference to the fact God will recover (gather) His people.

Yes, of course, they do. But all those other gods and goddesses are myth, while theirs is the Truth. (See Stephanie F.'s answer for an example.)
