Crust Punk, Crossover and D-Beat fans? (Peaches Got Punk'd)?
any fans of Thrash/Punk band Victims (sweden) or D-Beat band, Disfear (sweden)?
Personally, the thing I find more enjoyable about these Euro_punk related bands, over most of their American Hardcore counterparts is just the rawness, which evokes classic Black Flag shows to me.
And don't get me started on Punk wannabes like Green Day and Paramore and Blink 182. I WILL fong you. o_O

I like Victims and Disfear.
Opinions on the links you posted? I like Horn best of the three Disfear links and I like both Victims links equally.
MQ2 & 3, I don't have favorite genres or bands. I don't focus on that, I just listen to what I like and skip what I don't.

Perfect timing for this question dude because I've actually been getting into more Punk a lot lately. I'm already a fan of Crust, Hardcore, Ska Punk and Melodic Hardcore Punk but I've definitely been searching for more as of late which I hadn't done in a while in those genres. This better be good though because I have to pause Drudkh (one of my favorite Black Metal bands) for this =P
Oh, and as for what you said about rawness. I like a certain level of rawness in my music but I certainly think there is such a thing as way too much. I've definitely heard Punk bands were I thought they were going for too much of a raw sound. It's an issue that a subgenre like Black Metal also has.
Victims
I'm really liking this band because it seems like they combine more polished versions of Hardcore with the rawness. Like, I can definitely hear that raw sound in their music but at the same time I never felt like they were doing it which was a big plus for me. Also, I liked the vocals. They were very heavy but at the same time, very easy on the ears in a way.
Disfear
Right off the bat, this bad very much impressed me instrumentally. Just the drums with the guitar making such a dark atmosphere was very cool to me. It's something that I don't feel like I hear much in Punk which is a plus cause it means they're trying something that isn't done much. Overall, I really liked this band too although I must say that I think I liked Victims more.
MQ2: Hardcore

MA: punk is something i've never really got into too much...the odd song is alright (and i do like punk influenced bands obviously)...I do like new Darkthrone...whats that? crust punk??? no idea what any of these sub genres of punk are
VICTIMS
I like the first song...some good thrashy qualities, even a solo...this is the style of punk i would listen to more, if i knew about it...haha
Good riffs again...vocally, nothing great, but i'm not expecting a roy khan like singer...i'm enjoying this band so far.. might have to listen some more!
DISFEAR
nice intro to the first song...was keeping me guessing on the style coming up. I guess these are somewhat crossover bands as the thrash style is quite prevalent. The riffs are solid and make the song what it is. I do like this better than the first band though...really good. Thanks

I enjoyed both, though I also think that there is just as much rawness in the modern American scene, with bands like Trap Them, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, et al:

MQ2: hardcore in general: powerviolence, 90's style emo/screamo, mathcore, noisecore, crust, all kinds of stuff.
MQ3: gets a little muddy, but I'll just go with Converge, Daughters, Killing the Dream, Orchid, and Fall of Efrafa, at the moment, while acknowledging that they may not be "pure" punk.

Well, of the first two, Disrupt, though Discharge are good. I have a Disrupt back patch on my flannel though, so I gotta go with them. Obviously I like them both though. Of all the other bands, I have heard of all of them, but have only listened to DS-13, Dropdead, Doom, and DIRT enough to really judge, and I like them all. I probably like Dropdead or DS-13 the most of all of those. I've heard a bit by all though, and they are all ok to good (though the Damned or Dead Boys are at the bottom of my list). My favorite (punk or punkish) D band is going to be a toss-up between Defiance, Ohio and Dystopia.
