Should i restore my computer?

I'd like to get rid of everything on my computer by restoring it so it'll run faster , but I don't want to loose all my music and pictures . I don't have a storage device big enough to hold all of these files though . any suggestions ?

you can restore and depending on how your restore program is set up depends on what options are available. There are two general options, Factory Reset and Windows Restore. The factory option will delete all previous data, the Window restore should preserve your data and just refresh the Windows installation. the best option is the factory reset as that will give you the best performance but assumes you can back up what you need. If you don't have a big enough storage device then burn the data to CD or DVD.

If you reformat your hard drive and don't back anything up you will lose it. Have you tried just def ragging your hard drive? Click on my computer, right click the drive, click on properties, tools, de fragment. Good luck.
