In most states it is illegal to sell wild game meat. In some states it is even illegal to sell parts of wild game animals. You can give it away, but can not sell it in at least some of those states.

When it comes to selling the meat, no. As for the rest of the animal, hide, antlers etc, it depends. If you have a trapping license in many states you can sell the pelts. If you make something into a product, then yes. So, selling elk hide is not legal, but selling moccasins you made from the elk hide is OK.
As for the burgers, i dont think so because its a food product. You'd need to talk to your local health dept for info on that.

I wonder if the connection with Kosher is involved. The animal must be killed with a single blow, or a single gun or arrow shot I assume, to qualify. Since there is no such control over the harvest and no documentation of how many shots it took, no Jew or Muslim can risk the Hell they don't believe in. Politics being what it is, shrouded influences emerge with people assuming they can guess what the cause "must have" been, which often as not simply adds to inaccurate lore accumulation in the place of fact.

i dont know about anywhere else, but in Canada you can't. Because the FDA cant regulate what the animal is eating you are technically taking a risk in eating any wild animal and thus you cant legally sell an animal that you have hunted.

no. that elk is a resource of the state, and you arent allowed to profit from the states resources. the state can make money off it (licenses, tags, etc) but you cant. you are allowed to donate meat if it is accompanied by the proper tag and info.
yes, its still illegal. you arent allowed to profit from game animals. you cant even sell their teeth or antlers or fur or anything.

You could donate the meat to a food bank, but you can't sell it.
Note to Larry: I think you got the wrong question, bud.

i wouldnt think it would be i mean if u got a nieghbor and sold it that would be fine because no one would ever know and its bull how the state wont let us sell among ourselves. Its so stupid if they arent making money they get all pissy. I wouldnt advertise that your selling it but a couple friends I would just do it.
