I am not into labels, and the often-phony credentials I have seen most institutions award crooks and mouthy overbearing fakers, so I stand alone as a widely educated person, whose counsel is either valuable or it is not. I do not withhold answers which will anger crooks and idiots. It saddens me that I have had to block email "virus attacks" from organized evil dastards trying to silence all interference. I am looking for a convenient and practical way around this problem, and when I temporarily enable email here to contact someone, I provide them a private email addr outside Yahoo to continue the conversation. I haunt the Hunting Section on weekends. Regards, Larry.
Anybody know where I can download a case dimensions drawing of a 25-35 Ackley Improved case?
I have spent an hour searching, but no luck so far.
1 AnswerHunting10 years agoAnyone else notice the new Spyware Doctor contains malware?
When I refused to give them money, they switched off my Internet access and my access to that switch in Control Panel switched off as well. I had to reset to a point back right before I met them, and everything was returned to normal. Their PC Mag endorsement is over a year old. Any other horror stories?
2 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoDoes Ripley's not fact check at all?
Modern people know that by 1861, the 1/3 population of 11 Southern agricultural states were almost all FREED slaves by that time. Now Ripley's says the black population there were still slaves. The Emancipation Proclamation freed Northern slaves in the new tidal wave of slave brothels, all of which it was illegal under the Sedition Law to speak of at that time in newspapers. Don't they fact check at all?
2 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoAmerica NO LONGER a SUPERPOWER, consensus on Stephanopolis?
We hunters understand and use Supermagnums, both handgun such as my own 43 Winter Special wildcat (big 5 capable, international 10 inch single shot barrel class), or the 7mm Magnum 700 yard deer rifle which has joyfully caused more scope cuts than any other gun in history. So our experience and acclimation to the concept qualifies our opinions on this subject more than any other social group. So what do we say to this new downgrade of America? If the USA isn't a Superpower, then who is?
9 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWho all (among hunters) thinks getting fined for failure to purchase health insurance is not a tax increase?
In the Hunt For Justice, we hunters seem to me the most level headed group to view the opinions of. So what do we say on this?
14 AnswersHunting1 decade agoBesides the general shortage, where has ALL the unprimed 380ACP brass disappeared to?
Yes, there's a shortage of ammo, but generally not of components for handloading. EXCEPT for 380ACP! Clerks at MidwayUSA were surprised to see that there were all empty 380ACP bulk brass bins there when I called them on the phone. Same with other suppliers. Should we repeatedly call all mffrs and suppliers requesting 380ACP bulk brass supplies, or quietly not add to panic/opportunist hoarding? Some other plan? Ideas, thoughts, anyone?
3 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhat are the major reasons why Democracies are so easy to hijack by special interests?
The old Soviet Union used democracy to enslave entire countries! Democracy is easily used to remove the rights and safety of both minorities, and by trickery, majorities. All methods of brainwashing, from media to Scopolamine, can't account for all of it. Is it simply a need for improved thinking and design of government, such as "one district, one committed electoral vote", etc? Or is there a fatal flaw such as too high a % of criminal genetics in the gene pool, hiding behind healthy robustness? Opinions please.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWho said that, and is it coming true?
It ran something like "The poor worldwide have but to realize they can simply vote themselves the treasury, the ships at sea, the guns right out of the hands of the soldiers, and ownership of the means of industrial production. What then of freedom and security?"
And is it incrementally coming true, with stimulus, GM, unilateral support of Zalaya, etc?
8 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhat kind of bullet killed Neda Agha-Soltan?
Women are forbidden to sing in Iran. Neda was taking secret private singing lessons from a man, and Islamic Fundamentalists shot her dead when she met him once in public, last week. The Mullahgov claims it was the American CIA who shot her, as "the bullet is not of a type used in Iran, but commonly used by the CIA". No kidding about this, CNN covered it. I cannot find what kind of bullet that was. Does anybody know? The whole thing sounds like a really juvenile cover-up to me. And this nonsense about certain special bullets used by the CIA, which the Iranians are too good for, is a comedy within a tragedy. Let's call this the hunt for truth and justice.
8 AnswersHunting1 decade agoNew Recycling Laws Enforcement Unspecific?
Granted, there is only so much "stuff", and only a foolish culture doesn't recycle. However it is a well-known neo-Nazi trick to write unclear laws which nebulously make ordinary living illegal in some ways, for selective enforcement to get rid of their political enemies. Specifically here, there is no list of what goes in what bin. Many if not most new mothers use disposable diapers out in public, and even if at home, they are not properly flushable in most plumbing systems. Compost or garbage? Roll the dice and maybe get fined! Cat litter, same liability in choices. Used bandages? And on, and on. Anything critical to our culture and therefore worth doing right, should not become a vehicle for Fascism. Will suggested lists of "what goes where" be themselves recycled without officials even reading them? If no such lists are adopted, can citizens succeed in demanding lists of specifics of what will not get them fined? Opinions, please. Regards, Larry.

16 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy no questions about Sotomayor 2nd Amendment non-support?
True, the Supreme Court has recently ruled every regular citizen has 2nd Amendment rights. But Sotomayor has ruled in favor of dismantling the 2nd Amendment not real long ago, and referring the matter to individual states, like New York, which would get rid of it entirely, in such a manner as to spread to other leftist states. This is the only real sticking point I see in her confirmation, but it is fatal to support "dismantling the Constitution" when trying to break into the Supreme Court. Why is this not a big deal? Opinions, please.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoOPINIONS, coverup of Sotomayor position on gun control?

3 AnswersHunting1 decade agoAnyone else have no trouble getting Green Dot Rebate?
I activated a Debit Platinum Visa for my globetrotting girlfriend, by calling the REAL customer service at 877-434-3578, and was given instructions to load into my UPPER REGISTER ADDRESS BOX, http://www.greendotonline.com/premier rebate/ , and everything worked fine.
In a system like Green Dot, there are a deluge of wackos they have to beat back with a stick. The "bad" cust serv # was on my receipt, and on the package, designed to make the company computer be a barrier to all wackos, doing anything but activating a new card. The card activation people gave me the good phone # as soon as they saw I was basically sane! If you got this far, I assume you are also basically sane, and I give you the good # as well. Regards, Larry.

13 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoBesides Quakers, any other God-groups who have no history of using it for committing or supporting crimes?
Right now, I personally am drawing a discussion line at their simply being overbearing and sanctimonious as not actually criminal, but having local membership therein determine eligibility for employment, dating, residence, etc. as being over that line. The seizing of land or imposing of special laws, I feel are way over that line.
All rants welcome!
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow hot of handloads are safe in the new Ruger LCP 380ACP?
It's Smurf(c) sized, plastic framed, DAO, and (gasp) is locked breech just like 1911 models! Formerly all the blowbacks had to limit pressure to 21,500 psi to avoid giving the brass a hernia. But this hyper-reliable little gem surrounds the brass case with close-fitting steel for the duration of the high pressure part of the powder burn. Of course the longer and 35,000 psi rated 9mm Luger is about .020" thicker at the head. So that determining one end of things, I wonder how much of an increase in pressure would be safe and reasonable for LCP-use-only handloads? And what if you had brand new Nickeled cases, which would resist sticky extraction at higher pressures? Yes, I know, one would have to guard all handloaded custom ammo intended for only one gun, as usual. When I get epifilials on an LCP, I personally intend to work up something with the best cases I can find, measuring case distortions with incrementally increasing power. A few serious answers please among the merriment. Regards, Larry.
4 AnswersHunting1 decade agoNew life for all those 270's?
Formerly King o' the Hill for near-30-06 performance at less recoil, the 270 has lately been put in the back of the gun cabinet amid murmurs of "still tears up the deer too much". Well, a lot of us are good reloaders who can fix that. The 130 grain Nosler Partition bullet can be loaded to 2700 fps for 1000 ft-lb delivered energy at 400 yards, plenty for the biggest deer with good shot placement centering the lungs, a large target. The Nosler Partition bullet will easily punch through the biggest legbone with that much remaining energy.
Hornady says either 43.4 grains of IMR-4064 (known for consistent accuracy at varying temperatures), or 49.0 grains of IMR-4350 (traditional) will do this using the Winchester WLR primer. Both generate 2/3 the felt recoil of full 3100 fps loads, and don't make a mess of the deer. We can supply our friends with these loads, with cartridge overall length of 3.180", for use in all standard guns. Additionally, with the standard full power 150 grain loads, the 270 can handle the largest moose with good hits, all of which taken together makes the 270 a true "do everything" rifle, short of dangerous game.
How do you feel about all this? Thoughts please.
4 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhat about Amicus Letters to Supreme Court Justices, concerning Berg vs Obama?
It is unweildy to have to write to all nine U S Supreme Court Justices concerning a matter which might first come before any one of them, like the Berg vs Obama Citizenship Challenge. Of course all such letters or telegrams should be well identified with the writer's ID number, be polite, and well organized. But having to write nine letters! However, I can't think of a better system to offer. Does anyone know of a better Amicus technique? Regards, Larry.
4 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy is the sound erased from ALL Howard Stern/ Harlem Google entries?
This video proved that many voters were hit with hypnosis gas (Scopolamine Hydrate?) and instructed to vote for Obama despite being McCain supporters. Hilarious and disturbing! But now all the sound has been erased from all the many websites. Many people made copies of that video. Should we distribute them? Would that be dangerous? Opinions please. Who has copies?
