Is it possible to be married under the Pope?

Would it be possible to have a wedding ceremony and have the actual pope perform the ceremony?

    Possible, yes.

    Likely, no

The Pope is usually too busy to witness marriages.

    With love in Christ.

  • Well, theoretically, yes (just remember that under Catholic teaching, the bride and groom are the ones performing the ceremony; the ordained minister is merely the Church witness who makes sure everything is honkey-dorey, and signs the stupid paperwork the State requires).

However, in practice, I would say unlikely.

Technically, no. Only God marries people.

You could, however, have the Pope officiate a ceremony.

Like the Pope is gonna take the time for a nobody.

Sorry guy, you aren't important enough.

With the proper scaffolding, I am sure it is possible.

Also, it helps if you are of relation to the pope.
