Why does the Conservative Party of Canada run commercials ALL THE TIME?

Propaganda loses its effect if it's not out there constantly.

The GOP in the U.S. does a similar thing but is more aligned at the Democratic party in general. For the past two years they have run an almost constant smear campaign against the Obama Administration in an effort to ensure, as they promised, his administration fails.

It is a technique used by every large business operations; tell the people enough times and they will soon start believing it. It is a sad thing when elected officials turn to such techniques rather than working at the jobs they were elected too do. The GOP in the US has cost American tax payers billions of dollars in the past two years doing nothing more than working against any efforts to help fix America problems! Their mission has been to create inefficiencies in government, distrust and confusion among the American people.

During the Vietnam war there was a tactic used that was called "Internal Development" where plants in communities would do what they could to create a distrust for the government then plants in the government would do exactly what the community plant warned about resulting in attempts to over throw the government. The GOP in the United States is using a very similar technique - you may be experiencing the same thing there!
