I can't get RAID to work?

I have two WD Caviar hard drives, of 320 GB each. My motherboard is an MSI P35 Neo2-FR, with a Intel ICH7R southbridge. I want to RAID 0 the hard drives. I go into the BIOS, set the SATA mode from IDE to RAID, save and exit. During the post, the Intel Matrix Storage Manger appears, it says something like error 9: Hardware incompatible. It is my understanding you press Ctrl + I to get into the RAID BIOS, I can't seem to make this happen either. It refuses to proceed beyond the error message.

are the hard drives the exact model number? if they differ in size (number of sectors), the RAID will not work.

the channels also have to be enabled, and you can try enabling AHCI for the channels, or turning it off, but I think it must be on for optical drives to be visible to the BIOS and thus to windows.

There is no point in using raid with 2 HD's. Use one for the OS and one to backup your files.

you need to load the raid drivers from your motherboards driver CD during boot then enter windows install during boot
