Why are seemingly nice looking cars sold by dealers for dirt cheap?

I am looking for a car on craigslist and I am seeing so many dealers selling cars for amounts way under its actual value.

For example one dealer is selling a 1999 Acura 3.2 tl for $850 and it has 118,000 miles which is nothing for an Acura. They also claim everything is in working order and the outside is mint. There is a picture and the car looks nice.

Is this a rip off or is the car dealer just trying to get rid of cars that are sitting on the lot to long?

    The mileage is usually reversed.

They claim its a clean title, when it really isnt.

There is something physically wrong with the car that is undetectable to the normal consumer.
