If God flooded the Earth because man was wicked, due to the Fall, why was Noah saved?

All of us are descended from Adam and Eve, who introduced sin into the world when Eve bit the apple. God flooded the Earth to rid it of all living things because of their wickedness, yet Noah and his family were saved. Why? They are as wicked as any other people because they too are descended from Adam and Eve. Genuine question.

Update:

You can say he was righteous but from what I gather from Christians is that we are ALL wicked. Why would Noah be spared for being good, righteous and believing in God when he came from Adam and Eve like all of us? And yeah, why didn't he just start over from scratch?

Well yes they are descended from Adam and Eve, but that doesn't mean they can't be righteous. Now I am nowhere near an expert, so just take my answer and compare it to other people's. But basically, from what I can see, it was because he wasn't like the people in Sodom and Gomorrah who were so into having sex that, didn't a crowd of people try and seduce an angel that was visiting somebody whose name I forget in the town? And than God destroyed it because he couldn't even find five righteous people in the town? But Noah wasn't a complete sin machine, and his family was influenced by him, so they were good too. From what I can tell, God just basically picked the only person who actually did follow His commandments instead of deciding they didn't care.

Yes, Noah was imperfect because he was a descendant of Adam and Eve, but he was not wicked. The inspired account states: “Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah. . . . Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God.” (Genesis 6:8, 9) Noah ‘walked with God’ by pursuing a course that had divine approval. What Noah learned about God moved him to serve Him. Noah’s faith did not waver when he was informed of God’s purpose ‘to bring all flesh to ruin in the deluge.’—Genesis 6:13, 17.

Confident that this unprecedented disaster would occur, Noah obeyed Jehovah’s command: “Make for yourself an ark out of wood of a resinous tree. You will make compartments in the ark, and you must cover it inside and outside with tar.” (Genesis 6:14) Meeting God’s specifications for the ark was no small task. Nevertheless, “Noah proceeded to do according to all that God had commanded him.” In fact, “he did just so.” (Genesis 6:22) Noah did this with the help of his wife and their sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth and their wives. Jehovah blessed such faith.

He destroyed the wicked yet at the same time as the water became resting on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights it did damage to the earth. So Noah and his relatives had to help restore the earth back to that is unique sort. In Genesis God gave the rainbow as a demonstration that he ought to not in any respect ruin the earth by flood back. So even although he is going to ruin human beings back it truly is in undemanding words going to be the wicked and the earth isn't harmed back. Genesis 9:12-16 "12 And God further: “that is the signal of the covenant that i'm giving between me and also you and each and every residing soul that is with YOU, for the generations to time indefinite. 13 My rainbow I do supply contained in the cloud, and it ought to operate a demonstration of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall ensue that after I convey a cloud over the earth, then the rainbow will really seem contained in the cloud. 15 and that i shall really undergo in thoughts my covenant that is between me and also you and each and every residing soul between all flesh; and a lot less will the waters grow to be a deluge to convey all flesh to ruin. 16 And the rainbow ought to ensue contained in the cloud, and that i shall really see it to undergo in thoughts the covenant to time indefinite between God and each and every residing soul between all flesh that is upon the earth.”" and thanks for taking on for us :) that is loved by all witnesses

It's obviously a nonsense, because if original sin was as they claim, carried by blood, then obviously Noah and his family continued to propagate mankind and thus continue the spread of sin. So, mankind would again become sinful and the flood was pointless and worthless as an action, making this god seem rather dumb. Which is exactly what happened.

And remember they continually say that ALL are sinful, which includes Noah and his family.

Therefore this actually exposes the story as nonsensical.

But anyhow, an almighty and all-powerful god who created the Universe, Earth, mankind and all, couldn't change things in a blink of an eye, but needed a flood to do it, lol.

Well yeah the earth was wicked, but the thing was Noah and his family were the only ones who believed in/followed God. That's pretty much why God spared Noah and had him build the ark. Noah even went around trying to tell people about the flood and they thought he was nuts.

Gen.8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his heart,

I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of

man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing

    living, as I have done.

Noah was not a bad guy, just the best guy in a bad position, but in the best

    position at the time.

Well, He wanted to start over I guess. I mean, no one knows for sure! God has our best interests in heart though. He created Noah to be good. Love the sinner. Hate the sin.

And He didn't destory everything. Noah, his wife, their three sons, their wives, and two of each animal all survived.

Actually, Noah was known as a very just man while all of the others (if not most) were living wicked lives. Because of Noah's goodness, God also spared his family (although I would be very surprised that they were not known also to be just).

Becaause Noah believed in God and listened to God. All the other people would of been saved if they listened to Noah.

Would you believe it, the only good people, (good in that they worshipped god), in the whole wide world were all in one family. Except for all of the young children in the world, but tough luck they had to go. But isn't Noah the guy who got so drunk that he had a incestuous anal sex with his son?
