Toenails damaged by pedicures - advice please?
I've taken the latest lot of nail varnish off, and the surface of my nails has turned white and flaky. I'm going to have a rest from nail varnish for a while, but wondered what else I should do. Thanks for reading.

I may be wrong here, but it sounds like you have some sort of an infection in the nail or nail bed. While it isn't uncommon to have discolored nails depending on the color of the removed polish, flaky isn't normal. It could range from difficult to treat nail fungus, to other types of bacteria. I suggest you go see your doctor.

Take it to a pedicurist. They can solve that problem in a heartbeat.
