Following a set of teachings require conforming to something or other that really is a man made structure. While this might be preferable when looking for some kind of a guarantee. Following can stop progress toward understanding. Changes are individual and trying to be a part of group mentality creates limits. It may be safer to have those limits yet moving beyond limitations offers hidden truths and requires courage and trust. With purified motives the path to personal advancement is unlimited. There are truths that can be reached when self-centeredness is a thing of the past.
