Antibiotics/Allergic?

Don't take it unless your doc prescribed it, and is aware that you are allergic to Penicillin. If this is the case, watch out for any kind of allergic reaction to it, they usually happen quickly. I'm allergic to Penicillin and was given I.V. Levaquin in the E.R. for bronchitis a while back (no problem), then I was prescribed oral Levaquin and had an allergic reaction to it. Just some strange facial swelling. Of course, the severe anaphylactic reactions are the ones you need to watch out for....throat closing up, inability to breathe, etc. In those cases call 911. I'm leary of antibiotics after that Levaquin reaction.
