Any natural remedies for joint pain?
I had a knee injury a few years ago and I almost always experience joint pain there. I'm a runner, so this is a bit of a problem...my surgeon says I'll probably need another surgery in a few years but my chiropractor and the physical therapist at school say that I might not need to get it! Does anyone know of any natural ways to get rid of the joint pain in my knee? Thank you!!!

LM's answer is a good one. I also found comfrey cream great for pain relief.
The glucosamine combination takes 6-12 weeks to kick in, but it is worth it.
You probably already have a good diet if you're a runner, but consider increasing your intake of green leafy vegetables (bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, spinach), sweet potato, almonds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. And if you eat a lot of animal protein, substitute some with chickpeas and nuts.
Good luck. I hope you don't need the surgery.

Strengthening the leg muscles can help. Switching from running to bicycling is also a good move because there is much less stress on the legs during cycling.
However, you might want to read this before using alternative treatments:

The regulated and responsible use of medical marijuana can severley reduce your levels of pain and return comfort and normality to everyday life. Talk to your doctor about a "reccomendation". Marijuana is natural. Comes from the earth. And god made it, if you are religious. Hope you feel better.
