Free investment seminars ?

I may be a bit too curious, but why are these companies advertising their free investment seminars on certain websites. If they are giving away valuable information that can allow people to boost their secondary income, then why are these seminars free? Surely there is something in it for the hosts or the organisation behind the seminars?
