Mage Camp
Three million words on newsprint
For good or ill to the cast of players.
Stories of low adventure
Summoned from a mirror
And high ideals taken from a dream.
Songs of friends long dead,
Foes dead sooner still,
And friends lingering in woe.
Poems of what has been,
What might have been,
And what may still come to pass.
Prose to solve the mystery
Of what builds a self
Over long changing years,
And a double handful of fairy dust.

The history of the written word in fifteen lines. That's impressive condensation. Maybe in your free time you can write a one-line equation that encompasses all of mathematics. :)

Hmm....it's interesting. But as a poet, here's what I have to say:
It doesn't really tell a story or even convey an emotion.
It's just a bunch of pretty poet lines strung together. I think you could take a few lines and expand on them, and really tell a story. For example:
"Three million words on newsprint
For good or ill to the cast of players
Held by men of the city, the forest, the water
One man
Praised forever"
Good luck & you have some really awesome lines in there!
