Blamed for something I didn't do.?
I'm in college, and apparently my buddy down the hall decided to smoke weed in his dorm room. I didn't know and i didn't even know he had weed in his room. The hallway smelled like weed, so i wasn't sure if it just go in his room or he smoked inside of it. But later that night when we were playing ps3, the campus security came knocking on my friends door while i was in there. They threatened to arrest everyone who was in the room. They raided my friends room, and found the weed. They arrested him, and let the rest of us go to our rooms. A week later i get a email saying i have a hearing, by the college dean board or whatever. So what can i say to them? I think its crap that i have to deal with this when i never did anything.

Well, it helps that you are not the one who was arrested with criminal charges pending. They may just be trying to conduct a hearing to see what went down. Are you accused of misconduct?
You have to go, so my advice is to go and explain your side of the story. Personally, I don't see what they could pin you with - no criminal charges and you weren't caught with any weed on your person. The only thing they have is that you were in the same room as a guy who was in possession of drugs.
Really, they've got nothing.
Check your student handbook to see what constitutes misconduct and the procedure for these hearings.
You may want an attorney present. However, you could adopt a wait-and-see attitude and if they do end up sticking a misconduct charge on your record, you will definitely want an attorney to appeal it for you. You do have due process rights regarding your education.
I'm sorry this happened to you. Good luck. Just keep your cool and be respectful - you get more bees with honey.
When in doubt, get an attorney!!

The hearing is with the dean's office. They are investigating to see what is going on. Tell them you did not smoke weed and did not know he was in possession of it. You did do something- you went into his room knowing that criminal activity occcured there. Frankly, you're a college student. Are you really stupid enough to think that he smoked weed earlier, so there isn't possibly any more there...
He committed a crime, and you did nothing. You do have to deal with it because you were there when the police came. You are a witness to the search.
Tell the dean what you know, and that you did not (and do not) smoke weed.

Just tell them that your clean and didn't do anything. And if your confident tell them you would be willing to take a urine test to show it. Nobody will think you actually had anything to do with it if you offered to take a test, and a test will just confirm what you already told them. So just stick to the truth and tell them what you posted here.
