Looking for an Easy Recipe for Treat Day?

My office staff rotates treat day for fellow co-workers. I have not idea what to make.

Not cookies, but a wing recipe, an easy dip recipe, like an appetizer type of thing for approximately 20 people.

Thanks!

Marinate 3 dozen chicken wings in the following marinade:

1 C. Soy sauce (lite is fine)

    2-3 cloves of minced garlic

    1 tsp. of sugar

    1 tsp. toasted sesame oil

1/2 C. of chopped green onions

Place the chicken wings in a large baking pan. In a small bowl, combine all of the marinade ingredients and make sure you stir to dissolve the sugar. Pour this mixture over the chicken wings, baste with a pastry brush ensuring that everything is well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for about 2-3 hours. Pour off the excess marinade.Cover the pan with foil and bake at 375 for about 30-45 min. Run under the broiler to brown. NOTE: If you really want to be the talk of the town, just pour off the marinade, pat the wings slightly dry with a papertowel and then deep fry them. IF you do this, you'd better make more...they are addicting and will go fast!!! Trust me on this! Enjoy!

Meatballs are great appetizers. You can mix them in large quantities and place them in a crock pot to stay warm. They are easy to mix up and cook in no time at all. Mix up a sweet barbecue sauce for over top of them. It will add a great layer of flavor and will become sticky as they sit in the crock pot, creating a sweet glaze. People can put them on a toothpick and lay on a plate to take back to their desk. Or you could provide rolls and have a meatball sandwich. They can make a quick snack or serve as lunch. Cocktail weiners can also be prepared in a sweet barbecue sauce and be served the same was as the meatballs. You could also chop up different meats and cheeses into cubes and put them on toothpicks. They would be easy to grab and go with. Cheese balls would also be good with some crackers. A homemade trail mix would be an option too. You can just use any ingredients from around your house to prepare the mix. This will allow you to be creative and include ingredients that everyone likes.

Try a frozen yogurt parfait. Find a couple fancy-looking, tall glasses, and layer vanilla frozen yogurt (or ice cream if you want it less healthy) with chocolate shavings and/or fancy canned or frozen fruit. You can alternate layers (yogurt, chocolate, yogurt, fruit) or you can put the two together (yogurt, fruit, chocolate, yogurt). Start with a little fruit on the bottom, and end with either fruit or chocolate on top. If you use frozen fruit, thaw it overnight so it is not hard and cold. There are some neat canned fruits, like raspberries, available at most grocery stores. To make chocolate shavings, freeze a milk chocolate bar and shave slices off with a sharp knife. Top it with some whipped cream (the canned kind is fine) and mini chocolate chips or more shavings. If you want to get more creative, you can try some other layers, but remember, this should look pretty, and not like a banana split. :) Good luck!
