Boy names used for girls: love or hate?
What do you think? I'm not talking unisex names, I mean actual boy names used for girls.
Like Ryan, Spencer, Evan, Monroe, etc.

Sorry...I do not like the "unisex" thing or using actual male names for the female gender...It is a terrible thing to do to a child...

I think thast some names that were first boy names sound great as girl names!
I personally love the names Morgan, Logan, Ryan, and Spencer for girls. But that's just a personal opinion.
Hope I could help! =]

I hate it. Absolutely hate it. Cannot stand it. Did I mention I hate it? My first thought is that the parents really wanted a boy and when they found out in a was a girl they didn't care enough to find her her own name.
I also wonder how many of these parents who think names should be gender neutral would name their sons Elizabeth or Mary or Victoria? I think it's horrible. I see little girl Addison Marley's running around and want to gad. Especially with the names that end in Son. It means Son of. Not daughter of.

Some names would actually be cute on girls, like the names you listed above. Here's my problem with this trend though: this is a one way street. You wouldn't name a boy Ava, Katherine, Sophia, Olivia, or Kate. And once a boy name is deemed "unisex" it doesn't take very long before people are only able to picture that name on a girl. Look at Nancy, Evelyn, Hilary, Ashley, Whitney, etc. This leaves less and less options for parents who wish to give their sons distinctly masculine names. So, although I can understand the appeal, I'm not in favor of giving boy names to girls.

you like thoughs names, try Troy
That's my name & I wish more people would name their daughters that so I don't feel so alone! :(
I never hated my name, but I grew to love it even more. I used to get jeleous of other names, but at the end of the day, it's my name that make everyone curious about. I'm writing a book and I named a girl Spencer. I like it way better for a girl than a boy, Ryan to. The other two... eh.

I hate unisex and all boy names for a girl.
I just don't like it.
I think boy names should be boy names and girl names should be girl names.

HATE!
Why give a girl an un - feminine name? Can you imagine the look on her boyfriends parents faces when he tells them he's dating Evan?

I think, for me at least... Boy names that are used for girls are a love/hate relationship.
I don't necessarily hate anything... So It just depend on the name. I love some on girls and I strongly dislike some.
I like Ryan... Spelt like Ryann.
I LOVE Cameron.
I like Monroe
I like Evan
I DISLIKE Spencer.
Some other ones that I think are cute on girls are:
Aiden, Caden, Brayden, Jayden, Riley, Parker, Jude, Hayden, Blake, Carson, Avery, Max, Charlie, Holden, Dylan, Devin, Bobbie, Tristan, etc.
I know a few of those are Unisex anyway... But I still like them.
