Do you think the protestors in Egypt will win?
Mubarak STILL hasn't stepped down. I'm no expert, but WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THIS GUY? The people OBVIOUSLY don't want him.
My U.S. History teacher said there's been large protests in Egypt before but each time Mubarak has done something to appease the people. So I think that's what he's trying now; he's firing people and making promises because it's worked before.
Do you think this protest is different? Will Mubarak step down? Or will the protest eventually lose momentum?

The reasons behind the protests are varied, and even contradictory :

The latest news is that the protestors are turning violent too, which shows an increase in momentum :

World 'leaders' are now jumping into the fray, and all of them will obviously have a hidden agenda, with their own interests in mind !
...Even if Mubarak steps down, the ultimate losers will inevitably be the protesting Egyptian citizens - because, I fear, an equally bad (if not worse) regime will take over.
History has a habit of repeating itself, but never repenting itself ! Several such national scale protests in other nations have only helped replace one crooked regime with another.
C'est la vie, Ms Dandoon !

Now is different and he will go . A change is in the air and with the amount of young people there average age I think is 24 and they are unemployed, need work. Apparently too, the price of food has dramatically increased just recently so people are really having a hard time economically. No this time he is a goner.
I hope Democracy comes in and the extremists Muslims don't get a handle in there. That is always the concern because it could become another Iran with Sharia law in place and no one wants that.
It will be interesting to watch. You teacher sounds like an interesting guy.

The whole world stands with the Egyptian people, they have been denied their human rights too long and now they are taking back their country. Mubarak must leave or he will be removed by force.

This will really depend on the military.
He is around 80 + years old and I would think that he would welcome a little rest from all this. Spend a few of his dollars and relax a little.
Democracy doesn't seem to work when Islam is involved, so they will probably end up with another dictator and sharia law in the end .

I hope the protestors win. Mubarak will not step down. In fact, he has sent his police to Tahrir Square to fight with the peaceful protestors. I wonder how long it will take for the protestors to storm the palace.

I sure hope they do . The people are suffering over there. The leader has billions and they work for $2 a day. Lets pray that the people get relief from this situation. Let the UN step in or someone they desperately need help. Someone please capture this guy and put him away for life. Please let it happen.
