Can Egyptian people prevail?
No moral credibilty left for Mubarak and the regime.
* JBS - would you accept that kind of "democracy" in your country, or do you believe you are better than them, more deserving?
* backahea- kill the crowds???
I did not say moral authority, I said moral credibility.
I lived there and I know how bad the police and the security system was.
4 million+ work for security. They are violent, ruthless and demand bribe for everything. Why would anybody any longer take that humiliation just because there are dictators even worse than him. There is no humanity in your thinking.
I wander how cool and philosophical about it would you be if you lived it?!

In the end the people will prevail because the military is composed of normal Egyptians, no matter to whom their loyalties lie. Mubarak is out the door.

Your question and description are so off base it's hard to answer.
How many people are protesting? A million, two million tops right? That leaves the other 84 million as the silent majority.
No moral authority? That is decided by might. So far the military has not been directed.
I think all western people want Democracy to prevail, but that doesn't mean anything. If Mubarak wanted to squash the protests he could. Just like the Iranians, Syrians, etc. have done in the past. Kill the crowd and they will go away.
Edit: my bad, I'm sorry. To me Moral Credibility is the same as Moral Authority. Prove the difference. Moral anything is subjective. Yes, that is what dictators do...they kill those who disagree. Be it a single person a mass of humanity, dictators suppress by dealing death.
Now all that being said, I want and hope for democracy in Egypt. I'm just saying this battle is not over and there are many people who haven't said a word or done a single deed.

No one have the right to interfere in our lives.
we left in peace and democracy, we are the great peaceful growing nation in the middle east.
we have a situation against Israel, the banned Muslim groups in Lebanon, Egypt and Palestine.
Don't make benefit of us, Most Egyptian Love Mubarak and appreciate all what he did for them.

the enemy you know is sometimes better than the one you don't know. If the wrong person gets control - we are going to have some real issues that are going to be hard to address in the sand box.
