Did the prehistoric cavemen really club their brides on the head before dragging them back into their caves?

for some hot caveman action?

Update:

I wonder if the woolly mammoth rugs were hard to clean. Hmm....

There is no evidence for this whatsoever in the anthropological record.

There would be proof of head trauma in skeletal remains.

Although just because you don't find something, it does not mean that it did not happen. But so far, records indicate "no."

No, 'cave-men' never existed. As a species, humans were likely hunter-gatherers that wandered about coastlines. Also, women probably had a rather high status in prehistoric times (as demonstrated by the small carvings of 'Fertility Goddesses' found in dig-sites around the world.)

Though there's no doubt that rape would have happened at some point, it's not like we invented it or anything.

People live in caves now, people lived in caves in the past and "cavemen" also lived in caves at least during the winter. There is evidence for this, so it is proven and NOT "highly unlikely" unless Louise C knows better than anthropologists, historians, and archeologists, which is more than "highly unlikely."

Only the ones already in a daze silly enough to be wandering about outside of a cave.

Since they left no written record, we could only go on evidence of lots of skull fractures in female skeletons, and we don't see that. I think it worked pretty similar to the way it does now; men impressed the ladies with their prowess at hunting, spear making, cave painting, etc., and the ladies liked it.

Extremely unlikely. It is also extremely unlikely that people ever lived in caves, caves are not pleasant places to live in, being cold, dark etc. It is most probable that our paleolithic ancestors were like surviving hunter-gatherer societies today, where they live mainly in huts built of wood, skins, etc, and they don't go around clubbing women over the head.

Actually, we did! And on Sandy Hawkins day, the women got to club us! That eventually got turned int Valentines Day, were all men get tortured trying to find some present that is good enough for his woman just so that he doesn't get clobbered. Yea, VD is a real drag for us men. I miss the good ole days of my youth...

Of course they did. The best way to get laid is to put someone KO and then drag them into our house. Works for me :D

    Nope.

They gave their brides "head" with their "clubs", after inviting them to their caves.

Of course. Guys have always gone to clubs to pick up women.
