If I have lost 3 inches off of my waist, approximately how much weight might I have lost?

I'm trying to avoid scales because they're really discouraging for me. I don't even own a scale, actually.

I'm just curious.

    well i wont say my weight for you but i used to be an 8 and now im a 5 and lost 40lbs-im 18 and im 5'5. i hope it helps?=)
