i cant put this movie i downloaded off itunes onto my itouch?

i bought Terminator 2 Judgment Day off itunes for $9.99 fair and square. but i cant drag it and put it on my ipod touch 4g. i have plenty of space on it (21GB) but it wont let me wtf. did i just waste my money buying stupid itunes?

    Sync your iPod to your iTunes

    and click on your syncing iPod on the side of the iTunes window.

    Click on the "Movies" tab and if it's not selected,

    then check T2 and then press at the bottom, "Apply".

    Then the movie should load to your iPod Touch.
